This apprenticeship will allow you to gain the knowledge , skills and behaviours necessary to become a rail engineer.
Apprentices will carry out a range of theoretical and practical tasks including :

– Changing rail
– Changing sleepers
– Maintaining track gauge
– Understanding relevant tools & equipment

Once competent , the apprentice will go onto complete an end point assessment which will allow the learner to evidence their understanding to an external party. This apprenticeship is a great opportunity to understand the rail and gain the experience that can excel into an industry with a variety of different progression routes. This apprenticeship will also include completing functional skills.
