This course has been designed for individuals who work in the care sector particularly in care homes and domiciliary care settings. This course will provide the learner with the key working practices required when disclosing /receiving, handling and destroying personal identifiable information or data relating to a client or service user.

Know what the Caldicott standards are
Know the Caldicott principles when working with identifiable data
Understand Data Protection and the key areas of the Data Protection Act 1998
Know how it affects the employee/care worker
Understand how it affects the service user/client
To be confirmed by DCS Training Team

Duration of training 2 – 3hrs

Learners are required to obtain 75% pass mark

Learners may revisit the test for no additional cost so long as they revisit the training material ( optional)
