The Diploma for Hairdressing Professionals (Hairdressing) is a work based qualification that is designed to ensure you are job ready!

This apprenticeship includes functional skills at level 1 in Maths and English and learners will work towards level 2. If you have achieved GCSEs at grade A* – C, or Grade 4 you will be exempt from functional skills.

Duration

Apprenticeships are a minimum of 12-15 months. You will study one day per week towards your qualifications in our Romford or Chelmsford academy in Essex.

Entry Fees
No fees are applicable for learners aged 16 to 18, but an employer contribution of £900 is required for learners aged 19 or over.

Good communication skills
Excellent personal presentation/hygiene
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Practical skills and the ability to communicate with people are important for becoming a successful hair stylist.

End-Point Assessment
You will carry out a final practical assessment where you will demonstrate a range of services on a number of models to industry standards. You will be assessed by an independent examiner.
