Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprentice (Tail Waggers Grooming)

We are looking for an Apprentice Dog Groomer to join our team at our salon between Tamworth & Lichfield. They will join us and start on the Level 2 Diploma in Work-Based Animal Care 0067-23 Dog Grooming before progressing on to the Level 3 Apprenticeship. We will support you through all these courses to become the best you can.

During your training, duties will include:

Supporting the other groomers at the salon
Helping keep the salon clean, tidy and running efficiently
This will eventually lead on to:

Bathing
Nail clipping
Other pre-styling requirements as your training and role develops
The role is customer-facing, so your interpersonal skills will be very important along with having good literacy and numeracy. The candidate should be able to act upon their own initiative and be pro-active in their approach to learning. Dog grooming suits people with a creative mindset, however, it can be very fatiguing both physically and mentally, so please bare this in mind when considering this role.

The working week is full-time 38-40 hours. Minimum 30 minute lunch breaks. We are open 7 days a week, with the earliest start of 8am and latest finish of 8pm, so your rota will be flexed to suit the business needs. We are receptive to our team members’ family needs and will accommodate them where we can.
