Level 2 Floorlayer Apprenticeship Standard:

This course will combine theoretical and practical training in the following:

Health safety and Welfare in construction and associated industries (Including CSCS Card)
Personal learning and thinking skills (PLTS)
Employment rights and responsibilities, including career progression and keeping floorlaying knowledge up to date
Sub floor preparation
LVT Installations
Assessing and testing environmental conditions which may affect installation
Installation of textile and resilient floor coverings for commercial and domestic situations
Set out floorcoverings effectively on various surfaces
Selecting and installing finishing ancillaries
Disposing and recycling of waste materials appropriately
Interpreting information about the building and how this will impact the installation
Planning, estimating and quantifying materials and costings
Working in accordance with agreed specifications and timescales
Developing customer relations
