A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. Key responsibilities of a team leader will include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems and building relationships both internally and externally.
The course takes approximately 18 months and delivery is through online resources, the visual learning environment and practical workshops, culminating in an end point assessment. A trainer will visit the workplace every 4-6 weeks for coaching and monitoring meetings. The apprentice will need to spend 20% off the job training.
