Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) for staff in a Senior Carer Role or who are wanting to progress to a Senior Carer role. It was known as the NVQ level 3 in care. It is for students who are already working in care and wish to increase their knowledge. It builds on knowledge and skills learned in the level 2 qualification and adds some additional supervisory management and leadership knowledge and skills.

For employers, it ensures your staff have the correct levels of knowledge and skills to undertake senior carer roles where they will be supervising other staff. This qualification is for learners who are working as; senior care workers, senior healthcare assistants, senior support worker, personal assistant etc

The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF), replaces the NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.

There are mandatory and optional units. Learners must achieve a total of 58 credits. 28 credits will come from the mandatory units. 30 credits will come from the optional units. There are 9 mandatory units. Learners can choose from a selection of over 100 optional units.
