Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. It is expected that you would have already achieved the Level 3 Award in Education and Training prior to enrolling on this course.

The qualification provides an introduction to teaching and aims to meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as:

Individuals currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training)
Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.
A nationally recognised qualification.

A start or progression in your career as a teacher. You will be encouraged to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.

How you will be assessed?

Successful portfolio covering all learning outcomes from five mandatory units and fifteen credits from the optional units.

Must participate in a delivery of learning and be observed a minimum of three times within your teaching practice.

NCFE certification will be awarded upon full completion of the course.
