Our Mechanical to Electrical Conversion Course is aimed companies employing technicians and mechanical engineers looking to achieve a multi-skilled status and become competent in undertaking specific electrical tasks related to their work within the mechanical plant and equipment environment, such as safe isolation, 3 phase motors and inverters. Duration: One week (5 days) per module. This course is delivered to order and companies must book a minimum of 4 operatives on a course to make it viable

A range of subjects that would be suitable for any mechanical engineer who as part of their role works on mechanical equipment that requires an element of electrical competence to undertake isolation, installation, maintenance or replacement of equipment and parts. Subjects include:

Isolation of electrical and mechanical plant
Dead and Live Testing
Relevant legislation and standards
Safe operation of protective devices
Replacing motors and sensors on a like-for-like basis
If this is booked and run for a single company an on-site element can be included to look at the specific equipment or plant in situ along with the necessary electrical requirements of that equipment (dependent on site location and access). There would be needed a minimum of 4 people from one company to run this course (the syllabus could also be adapted and amended to suit individual business requirements as needed).
