A qualification for those with electrical knowledge, such as practising electricians, who want to expand their career in to the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment sector; colloquially referred to as PAT Testing. If you already work as an electrician it will add another string to your bow and can help you move up in the industry.

Increasingly being used by companies to bring PAT Testing in-house, by upskilling their existing electrical staff. There is an assumption by City & Guilds that those sitting this course will have electrical knowledge, and the exam reflects this. Please note however, this does not cover in-house inspection and testing of equipment or appliances that are used for commercial gain hire purposes or medical equipment. COURSE CONTENT

ASSESSMENT
Assessment takes the form of an online exam (1 3/4 hours) and a practical assessment. We allow the final day to complete these.
