Dorset Training
These groups had been initiated and nurtured by the Agricultural Training Board through the 1970’s and 1980’s to promote the importance of skills training within the agriculture, horticulture and forestry sectors. Dorset Training Ltd was incorporated in 2004 and is a company limited by guarantee with members.'
‘All of the courses provided by Dorset Training are delivered by a range of experienced practitioners and instructors as per the customer’s requirements. All of our instructors are registered as trainers and/or assessors with the main awarding bodies with whom we work including BASIS, Lantra Awards or NPTC City & Guilds.’
‘It is possible to become a member of Dorset Training for an annual fee. Members can enjoy the network of support from colleagues in the industry as well as preferential rates on the courses offered. Please see our membership page for further information about the benefits and cost of becoming a member.’
‘Dorset Training has an on-farm training centre at Deverel Farm in Milborne St Andrew. This centre provides a central training location with access to a well equipped training room and workshop. There is also access to a large outdoor space in order to practice skills learnt in the training room.’
