Barbering Apprenticeship

JET Hairdressing Academy recognise the unique skills of traditional Barbering and commercial men’s hairdressing and have added the NVQ Level 2 Barbering qualification to the growing repertoire of courses on offer.

Head and face shapes, necklines and common problems facing males like pattern baldness form some of the topics for the NVQ Level 2 qualification. Traditional barbering and current men’s haircutting focus on scissor over comb and clipper over comb methods. Preparation and finishing are also established components as well as consultation and cutting facial hair into shape.

The course format uses live demonstration, practical hands-on training as well as formal theory delivery to ensure full coverage of the qualification requirements.
