Senior Clinical Healthcare Support Workers (HCA’s).

As an experienced clinical healthcare worker, you carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks. Within GP services HCA’s work autonomously running clinics to meet patient needs, but this qualification can also be used for someone specialising as an Adult Nursing Support Worker, Maternity Support Worker, Theatre Support Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, Children and Young People Support Worker or Allied Health Profession – Therapy Support Worker

In order to meet this standard learners will be required to achieve a:

Care Framework Certificate
a Learning Journal completed for last 3 months
Level 3 BTEC Diploma Senior Healthcare Support Worker
Minimum of Level 2 English
Minimum of Level 2 Maths

Learners must undertake an End Point Assessment prior to successful completion of their standard. This will include:

A multiple choice and short answer test
An observation of practice undertaken in the workplace
A learning journal completed by the apprentice with an interview
Submission of portfolio
Delivery: Blended delivery including; one to one support with an occupationally competent tutor, and virtual learning environment. Clinical Training programme through the Community Education Training Provider Network Cornwall.
