Software Developer Apprenticeship Level 4

LDN Software Developers build and test simple, high-quality code across front end, logic and database layers. Apprentices will typically be working as part of a larger team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of an overall project.

The apprentices will need to be able to interpret design documentation and specifications. Customer requirements will typically be defined and agreed by more experienced or specialist members of the team, such as a business analyst or technical architect.

Qualification: Level 4 Software Developer with choice of Vendor Qualifications

Duration: 18 months

Off-the-job Training: 20% of contracted hours to be spent on off-the-job learning activities

Portfolio Work: Three comprehensive projects and two exams (including one Vendor qualification)

Content: Delivered through in-class and digital learning workshops and one-to-one coaching. Individualised learning guided through PluralSight content and community support

End Point Assessment: Synoptic Project & Final Remote Interview
