As per the reports Shelly Oberoi AAP candidate won the election which is held by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The voting process was held at the Civic Center, Delhi. According to officials, There were few restrictions while voting in the polling booth as mobile phones are not allowed there and a time limit of 90 minutes was allotted to the members to vote. The voting process started from 11:30 am and takes more than 2 hours to complete. After results were announced and the victory of Shelly Oberoi the AAP councillars chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai in the hall. Previously Mayor Elections was attempted on 6th January, 24th January and 6th February but due to heated clash between the two parties it was postponed at that time but now on 22ns February, Wednesday it was completed and Shelly Oberoi become the winner of Mayor Election.

She is well educated lady with lots of enthusiasm. She has completed her graduation degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University’s School of Management Studies. She holds the degree of Doctorate in Philosophy. She came into politics nearly a decades ago when she decided to join Aam Aadmi Party.
